The Big What?

We wanted to set up the Big Wide to inject some life into the standard unscripted TV and video industry news (rehashed press releases, dull promotion announcements) and create a place to explore the future of factual content.

As the industry falls apart and (hopefully) pieces itself back together, now seemed like an appropriate time to start…

This isn’t just for TV - the industry is much bigger than that. We hope to cross pollinate ideas from TikTok, YouTube, drama, podcasts and anything else that pops up. 🐝

We’re based in the UK, but look across the world for ideas and stories.

So what are we going to send you?

About once a week (maybe less, maybe more - probably less) we’ll send you a Big Wide, our original writing that dives deep into market reports, case studies, trends and tech roundups that relate to the future of factual TV and video.

In these emails, we’ll also include links, quotes and articles from across the web that we’ve found interesting that week, so you don’t have to go trawling around for them yourself. 🎣 All our writing is available direct in your inbox, and here at www.thebigwide.co.uk.
